Abstract (EN)

Until recently, issues related to the adaptation process of migrants were generally addressed within economic, political and social matters, and were considered more problem-oriented. However, as the third generation of immigrant children who born and raised in host countries started to become more visible in the social sphere, the factors determining the participation in the public sphere and the formation of identity have also started to be examined independently. In this study, the reflections of French integration policies in the public sphere are discussed especially in the third generation Turks living in France. For many of the communities receiving immigration, third generation youth stand out in the process of re-evaluation of citizenship policies and identity formation period. France has transformed its policies into a "model" through its institution with reference to the idea of republican integration. Therefore, it is possible to say that France has developed a holistic attitude towards immigrants and their children. Today, the relations of the third generation immigrants with the French society have become important debates of the economy, politics and social life. In this study, while the integration processes of third generation migrant youth in social, economic and urban areas are examined, it will be tried to understand the effect of the integration policies which France has been implementing for years.
