Opportunities in reading and translation of Franz Kafka's text "Ein Landarzt" using a deconstructive approach

Franz Kafka, one of the prominent representatives of the open work, has closed his narrative Ein Landarzt / A Country Doctor to fixed interpretations. While the structure of the narrative, which is constructed and resolved with polysemy and paradoxical elements, multiplies and obscures the meaning possibilities with a cartwheel, the reader can only follow the traces of the meaning. The structure of the narrative, which distorts itself while producing and reproduces while distorting, operates under the possibility of a flat and superficial reading. In this respect, the text contains the possibilities of saying very different and multi-meaning things than it seems on the surface, in an easy-to-read flow of events. Listening in this direction, establishing a plural relationship with the text brings with it to reflect on the ambiguities arising from paradoxes and polysemy, to ask questions to the text, to witness the formation of new ambiguities with the answers received, and to witness the continual postponement of meaning as we touch the traces of ambiguity. This is a confirmation and practice of looking at the phenomenon of meaning through Derrida's philosophy. The deconstruction described by Derrida is the structuring of a self-producing, multiplying and corrupting literariness in Kafka. The aim of the study is to discuss the ways of showing and evaluating whether the literary deconstruction, which we see as a landmark in Kafka's literature, is reflected or not reflected in the translation examples, based on the tension of structuralist and poststructuralist analysis methods. In this direction, firstly, the questions of how the deconstructive character of the source text (the structure that produces the deconstruction) should be analyzed with a reading in a study aimed at evaluating the translations, what kind of criteria can be created for the evaluation of translations will be discussed. Finally, the contacts of the translations with the deconstruction are evaluated within the framework of the criteria that constitute a text.
