Friedrich August von Hayek's idea of spontaneous order

20th Century represented historical and traditional fractions that are very significant to human history. Centrally planned economies and the formations like welfare state contributed to the development and progress of the society. However, this development turned the priority of the individual in the society into a problem. This situation decreased the interest in liberalism which grounds on individual, liberty and superiority of law, and paved the way for turning into a totalitarian structure in the society. Social thoughts of Friedrich August von Hayek constituted the most effective development in order to prevent such a society from turning into a totalitarian structure and to refresh the interest in liberal tradition. Hayek represented the revolt against designing the social order regarding the individuals and their value of liberty in such an environment. He put forward the idea of 'the existence of a social order' with the society's own values and experiences. According to philosopher, social order evolves not as a human design but as a result of human actions. This point of view that is trying to explain the society with the idea of spontaneous order has been regarded as an obstacle in the turning or evolving of the society into a totalitarian structure.
