Abstract (EN)
Phryg Civilization has found its place in the section between the middle and west of Anatolia as defined by Hellen Civilization. Ceramics constitute the most remarkable group of finds in terms of understanding the route of culture and the most remarkable find among the cultural finds. Phryg ceramics emerge with distinctive decoration differences in two main spreading areas, East and West Phryg. The geometric decoration tradition, which is used fondly by many cultures, constitutes the most important decoration group in Phryg ceramic art. There are opinions that the subject of its origin has developed in a West axis for years. There is little evidence that it is fed from the West, but the Phrygian culture does not have an advanced ornamental iconography like Western Cultures. However, similar geometric decorations can be found in the dominant painted ceramic groups that existed in Eastern Ceramic Cultures before the Phrygian Civilization. In this context, it seems probable that the Phryg Ceramic Culture is a homogeneous culture that emerged under the influence of peoples of different socio-ethnic origin and Western Cultures, embodying the traces of the Eastern Ceramic Cultures of the II millennium BC.
