This master thesis analyses the light verb an noun collocations in German. They are analyzed in terms of morphological, syntactical and semantical aspects. Furthermore, the criteria of identification of the light verb constructions are described. In addition, an equivalent of the light verb constructions in Turkish is determined. In the main part of the thesis is an analysis of the textbooks conducted which is oriented on the criteria described earlier. This is considered to be relevant because the light verb constructions are a big part of the German language and can cause problems to students of German as a foreign language. The analysis of the textbooks was conducted by own criteria.
