ABSTRACT The Education level Of Sportsmen and Their knowledge Level Abaut Doping and Analysis Of Trend About Using Doping Setting of record levels which are hard to reach by other competitors and challange of saving seconds, millimeters, and grams between sportsmen, has caused them to use all the tricks and frauds to sucess, in sport which is a radical part of our contemporary societies. The aim of this study was to investigate the the correlation betwen educational level and knowledge about doping and tendency to doping use in football players. Total of 90 footbal players; 46 professional and 44 amateur footballplayers who were actively playing in Elazığ city were involved in this study. A questionarry form was structurred for determining the level of their knowledge about ergogenic aids, doping and side effects, and to search the effect of their education about villingness to the use of doping on amateur and professio nal footballplayers and students from the sport academies and particiopants were asked to fill this questionarry Statistical analysis were performed using SPSS for Windows using Chi-Square test. Data are given as mean + standart deviation. Except the beta blockers, the rate of tendency to use doping in amateur and professional football players were found different. Diuretic use was common by amateur footballplayers and peptide hormons were in wide use by professional footballplayers. xnThe knowledge of amateur sportsmen about doping were better in comparison with professional football players; on the other hand professionals had more knowledge about anabolic steroids, beta blockers and narcotic analgetics. Finally; it is observed that education has a positive effect on the use and tendency to use of doping and knowledge level about doping, but in general the knowledge level in both group was not sufficient. We suggest that anti doping education is would be effective in preventing ethic depressions and healing health problems concerning the individual, and foundings which are relatively representing the family and the society.
