Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of creatine use on some performance parameters in football players. In order to evaluate the performance tests of the participants in the study, the perceived degrees of difficulty were determined with the Borg scale and delayed November muscle pain were determined with the visual analog scale. In addition, a gastrointestinal symptom rating scale was applied to the participants. After body composition measurements of all participants (n=16), football players were randomly formed from eight people in a homogeneous way as experimental and placebo groups, and nutritional support was provided to the experimental group in the form and dosage of daily use in accordance with the literature, while the placebo group was given an equal amount of wheat bran. After the nutritional support process was completed, the performance levels of the athletes were determined again and the pre-test and post-test results were compared. Research 16 male volunteers with an average age of 22.18 ± 3.93, average height of 168.68 ± 41.49, average body weight of 75.25 ± 7.15 who continue their active football life participated in Sinop 1957 sports club located in Sinop province. Performance tests were performed at the same time and with the same sequence on each test day, taking into account the circadian rhythm. SPSS 22.0 statistical package program was used in the analysis of the data, Microsoft Excel was used to draw the column charts. As a result of the results obtained, as a result of the pre-test-post-test comparison of the creatine group, there was a significant difference only in the ball speed and Illinois agility test, while there was no significant difference in other performance parameters. As a result of the pre-test-post-test comparison of the placebo group, there was a significant difference only in the ball speed test, while there was no significant difference in other performance parameters. It was found that there were significant differences in vertical jump, 30 m Deceleration test, shuttle test, Illinois agility values after creatine between the groups, while statistically significant in other performance parameters only in ball speed. As a result, significant findings were found in the vertical jump, 30 m speed test, 30 second shuttle test, Illinois agility test and smash speed of creatine supplementation. These findings show that creatine supplementation is effective in improving the physical performance of football players. Based on the research results, creatine supplementation is recommended to be used during training periods in order to improve the performance of football players.
