The view of Fuzulî about engagement

Key Words: Connection,Engagement, To be engaged,Love,Mature-human Engagement means the act of being interested in something or great fondness for someone or strong religius feeling. It is one of the most regular action of a person in his life. By this action, the man opens a large world to himself and it suggests his axistence. Existentialism tries to understand the engagement, because it (engagement) orders the life of human. According to existentialists, engagement is one of the main behaviours of human which helps him when he starts to determine his subsequent-self Because it is one of the basic subjects of existentialism, we try to comprehend the engagement by this trend. Sufism is the life style of a person who wants to live the divine love.The engagement is researched in Sufism.For,the loving is suggested as the one of the main subject of Sufism. Another word; Love is a connection becames when someone is engaged to someone,devoted to God or interesded in something.How does this(devotion) engagement happen? This study shows that the engagement in sufism is to find answers for the questions. Fuzûlî is the one of the poets who had studied the devotional love in sufism very well, and his famous ( mesnevi) work, Leylâ and Mecnun is also very famous about this subject. So, Starting with Fuzûlî to understand the approaches of the sufism about engagement is enough to find clear answers for this study. While the engagement is researched, the research is limited by the view points of Fuzûlî and tried to be understood. This thesis is prepared to understand how the philosophy and sufism percieve the engagement and by this way, to make it clear that how impotant the engagement, or İt is an important element of human's existence advanture. Especially, İt is studied from the paradigma of Fuzûlî who uses the theorical style of sufism very successfully in Literature. It is tried to be comprehended and explained the concepts -human's existence, connection^ be engaged, engagement- from the existence perspectif of Fuzûlî.
