ivFUZZY METRIC SPACES AND FIXED POINTS( Ph.D. Thesis )Servet KÜTÜKCÜGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYMarch 2006ABSTRACTIn this thesis, we give some definitions related with fuzzy Menger distancebetween two sets, fuzzy set convergence, continuity and fuzzy orbitallycompleteness in fuzzy Menger spaces first time in literature. Secondly, we findsome results related with fixed point theorems for single-valued and multi-valued mappings. Finally, we state and prove two fixed point theorems forwhich the (α) and (β) types of compatible mappings in fuzzy metric spaces.
