The effect of internet-based instruction application prepared basing on Gagne's instructional events model on academic achievement of students and continuance with in primary school communication technologies course

Within this work, the effect of internet-based instruction application prepared basing on instructional events model of Gagne on academic achievement and continuance of learning through communication technologies course at 7th grade of primary school.Within this research, conducted by using pre-test post-test control grouped experimental design, `Introduction to Publishing? unit, fifth step was instructed via internet-based instruction for experimentation group and current instruction method for control group and difference between academic achievement of groups was research.Research was conducted with 7-B and 7-C classrooms in Nigde Atatürk Primary School during 2011-2012 education year, first term by getting permission from Nigde Provincial Directorate of National Education. There are 25 students in experimental group and 21 students in control group. Lessons of both groups were instructed by researcher and lasted for four weeks. Data gathered by application of achievement test both in the beginning and in the and of application was analyzed by using SPSS-11.5 program. Since there were few students within work-team, non-parametric statistic methods were used.In the end of the work, these conclusions were examined; while achievement of experimental group that internet-based instruction model was applied increased significantly, significance has not been observed within control group. In addition, the difference between experimental and control group is not significance. In terms of achievement scores continuance test, the scores of students within experimental group have increased significantly in terms of statistically than control groups.
