The Gallienic classicism and portraiture in this term

This study covers Gallienus who was Roman emporer in the 3rd century. It also considers the period's political events, economy, religion, art and history of philosophy. In addition, the cultural impact of Hellen and Plotinus' Roman world on the Classicism was considered. From this, we conclude that the Classicism was created for political reasons.Portraiture art was very significant in the ancient Roman world and we have studied it to deduce the period's spiritual form. During this period, Roman policies were weak, the economy was failing and there were numerous rebellions. Christianity had begun to divide the Roman world and the Olympic deities were being abandoned. Art was used in an attempt to restore Roman's empire culture.The Classicism of Gallienus was a new form of art in the ancient world and it was a turning point dividing the past and future forms of the empire.Studying Roman history in isolation from their art will fail to understand the full story of the period.
