Abstract (EN)

In this study, gerundiums related to the verbal category are discussed with their upper-lower functions based on the contrast order of the conjugation sequence containing the word (meaning)-suffix (task) contrast. At the point of determining the functions, one of the important works of Old Anatolian Turkish, Garîb-name, from which we can obtain sufficient material due to its volume, was used. Although the subject of gerundiums is dealt with indirectly in the text of Garîb-name, it is not discussed in detail. This was effective in selection of the work. The study consists of "Introduction", "Gerundiums", "Conclusion" and "Appendix index". In the "Introduction" section of the study, the explanations of the researchers about the gerundiums are included and evaluations have been made in line with these explanations. It has been observed that the main problem points are what the gerundiums and the gerundiums suffix is / is not, and the separation of the adverbial verb affix from other additional categories. In the "Gerundiums" section, the examples of the adverbial verbs determined by the filing method from Garîb-name are listed alphabetically with their upper functions and sub-functions linked to these upper functions. Following, the gerundiums forms were examined and listed in terms of affixation information. In the naming of functions, naming that represents a certain suffix category in the inclusion order and is unique to that category has been avoided. The data obtained from the study are included in the "Results" section. The frequency of use of the gerundiums affixes according to the form and function was specified, and its contribution to the text was evaluated. In the "Appendix Index" section, morphemes that function as a gerundiums are presented as a whole with their upper and lower forms.
