Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, species composition of algae occurring in phytoplankton and phytobenthos and their seasonal variations were studied at 4 stations on Garzan Dam Lake between December 2013 and may 2014. Sampling was performed monthly. Water temperature, electrical conductivity, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, total hardness, organic matter and silica were measured in research period. During the study, a total of 30 taxa belonging to Bacillariophyta (25 taxa), Cyanophyta (2 taxa), Chlorophyta (2 taxa) and Euglenophyta (1 taxon) were identified. Navicula, Nitzschia, Cymbella and Gomphonema species were most common diatoms in both phytoplankton and phytobenthos associations in Garzan Dam Lake. Number of algal taxa were almost similar in both phytoplankton and phytobenhos. Planktonic and benthic algae at stations were studied with physical and chemical parameters.
