Abstract (EN)
In this study, in the production of aerated concrete using fly ash as raw material availability has been investigated. Fly ash taking from Seyitömer (Kütahya) thermal power plants is used as main raw material. TS EN 197-1, CEM I as a binder (42.5 R) and the mixture of cement mortar to ensure the formation of pores by expansion of aluminium powder and quicklime are used.Fly ash, cement, quicklime, gypsum, and the aluminium powder consisting of expansion additives produced six different series. Aluminium powder reacts with calcium hydroxide and fresh mortar is poured into moulds as a result of expansion led to the formation of the porous structure is provided. In order to shorten setting time of the mortar some accelerator additives (such as CaCl, NaSO4) was used in some series. Test samples were cured in autoclave for average 8 hours with the low-pressure (1.15 bar).Physical and mechanical tests experiments were conducted on samples. In the development phases within the microstructure analysis (SEM and XRD) was conducted to determine the structure, thermal conductivity coefficients were determined and compared with commercial gas concrete examples.
