Abstract (EN)

Journalism is a field that has been affected promptly by technological developments from the past to the present. Newspapers which initially developed with the transmission of news about the economy in the port cities of the Middle Ages, thanks to Gutenberg's printing press, gained speed in te paper environment,shortened the process of transmitting news with the telegraph,eventually severed its-far fetched relationship with paper thanks to internet technology, and continue develop in the internet field. Technological advances have changed not only the way journalism is conducted, but also the revenue model. Today, thanks to the possibilities of the digital environment, newspapers can provide themselves with diffrerent revenue models. Some of them is subscription, advertising revenue, sponsorship, as well as digital transformation such as crowdfunding. Crowdfunding, a revenue model that is quite new in Journalism field, is an effort to find funding to provide targeted support by demanding low amounts from crowd. In this study, We are focusing in a new jorunalism revenue model crowdfunding, For this purpose, "Salgın var! Yanlış bilgiye karşı aşı olun" project and "Reports from the Race Against Climate Change" Whether crowdfunding in journalism is a sustainable revenue model has been examined. In the study, the funding phase of projects using the open content analysis method and the realization of the project's promises were examined in detail. The legal regulations in our country regarding crowdfunding are also quite new. Therefore, it is believed that the crowdfunding method will become important both for researchers and Newspapers in the next process. In addition de revenue model, Crowdufunding journalism also can be consider in alternative media perspective.
