Systematic and faunistic evaluations of specimens of Tenebrionidae (Coleoptera) in Zoological Museum of Gazi University

Abstract (EN)

This study based on 958 specimens which were collected from different parts of Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus between 1992 ? 2007 and deposited in Zoological Museum of Gazi University. After the evaluation of these specimens, 63 species, 5 of them have 1 subspecies, belongs to 37 genera among 17 tribus within 4 subfamilies were determined. Blaps indagator Reiche, 1857, Nalassus dermestoides (Illiger, 1798), Pedinus fallax gracilis (Mulsant & Rey, 1854), Pimelia hierichonticus Reiche & Saulcy, 1857 and Tentyria robustoides Reitter, 1900 are new records for Turkish fauna. As a result of this study, descriptions of species, information about localities, distribution in World and Turkey with identification keys of species and distribution maps for the research area and male genitalia and general apperance pictures of each species are given.
