Evaluation as faunistic and systematicaly of Platystomatidae and Otitidae (Diptera) family in Gazi University Zoology Museum

Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was determined 27 species that in Gazi University Zoology Museum which are gathered belonging to 5 types evaluated totally 442 samples those are 200 belonging to Platystomadae, 242 belonging to Otidae family. They were gathered in different times and from different regions in Turkey. Those, Platystoma dimidiatum, Platystoma tegularium, Platystoma gemmationis, Platystoma chrysotoxum, Platystoma subtile bezzii, Platystoma pubescens, Platystoma plantationis belonging to Platystomatidae family and Dorycera caucasica, Ceroxys urticae, Herina lugubris, Otites formosa belonging to Otitidae family are recorded for the first time in Turkey. Genus Ceroxys and Herina are new records for Turkish fauna. Meanwhile, it was determined 4 species which are belonging to Otites species in Otitidae family and 2 species belonging to Platystoma species in Platystomatidae family are different to be known so far and new for science world. At the end of the work, it was given keys of diagnosis of taxons, definitions, information of locality, disribution in the world and Tukey and also maps of distribution, photos of each species.
