Mycobiota of pistachio trees (Pistacia vera L.) in Gaziantep province

Abstract (EN)

This research was carried within the boundaries of Gaziantep province between 2009-2010. In this study, 23 microfungi species of Ascomycota (5 class, 9 orders, 11 families, 15 genera, 23 species) and 2 macrofungi species of Basidiomycota (1 class, 1 order, 1 family, 1 genera, 2 species) divisions have been identified developing over Pistacia vera L.. As a result of the research 17 species belonging to 14 genera (Alternaria tenuissima, Aspergillus fumigatus, Bispora antennata, Botrytis cinerea, Coniothecium complanatum, Cytospora sarothamni, C. terebinthi, Diplodia pistaciae, Fomes fomentarius, F. rimosus, Fusarium oxysporum, F. roseum, Penicillium decumbens, Phoma pulchella, Rosellinia pulveracea, Steganosporium irregulare, Strickeria pistaciae) were recorded on Pistacia vera L. for the first time in our country and 8 of 17 species (Bispora antennata, Cytospora sarothamni, C. terebinthi, Diplodia pistaciae, Fomes rimosus, Phoma pulchella, Steganosporium irregulare, Strickeria pistaciae) are new records for Turkey. 6 of them (Bispora antennata, Coniothecium complanatum, Cytospora sarothamni, Phoma pulchella, Rosellinia pulveracea, Steganosporium irregulare ) has been determined on Pistacia vera L. for the first time in this study.
