Investigation of Gaziantep manis in terms of folklore

Many mani works have been done for many regions and the manis have been compiled so far. The manis of Gaziantep have been studied in this study. In the first part of the work, historical information, geographical features and economi to the province of Gaziantep which is accepted as the biggest and most developed city of Southeastern Anatolia were tried to be explained. In the second part of the work, information about the roles, themes and structural features of the mani which is one of the most important values of Turkish folk literature in the historical process are given. In the third part, it has been focused on the manis of Gaziantep. While performing the review, the section has been evaluated on two headings. The manis of Gaziantep have been studied in terms of their subject and work areas of folklore. Key words: Gaziantep, type of mani, examination of mani, folklore.
