Abstract (EN)

II. World War took place between 1939 and 1945 and was a devastating war in terms of its results. Many states, especially the great powers of the period, participated in the war, which caused great material and moral losses in the world. The war started in Europe and then spread to other parts of the world. Turkey did not actually enter the war, but faced difficult political and economic situations during the war years. The Axis Powers put pressure on Turkey to enter the war between 1939 and 1942, and the Allied Powers put pressure on it between 1943 and 1945. Even though Turkey remained out of the war, it was negatively affected economically. The governments between 1939 and 1945 tried to reduce the problems caused by the war in our country with the laws they passed and the measures they took. In this study II. The World War II was evaluated specifically for Gaziantep, and the issues of Gaziantep and Yeni Gaziantep newspapers published during the war years were examined. Gaziantep and Yeni Gaziantep newspapers devoted extensive space to news about the course of the war. The problems seen in Gaziantep, especially in Türkiye, due to the effect of the war, were reflected in the newspapers. News of the measures taken and the aid provided against these difficulties were also included in the newspapers. Key Words: Second World War, Türkiye, Gaziantep, newspaper.
