Abstract (EN)

Gazzâlî is an important personality who has aroused great repercussions both in his own epoch and in later periods with his studies in approximately every field of Islamic sciences. His works in the field of fiqh also made great contributions to that territory and he left the Shafi'i school under of his influence for a long time which he was a follower of that sect. As a matter of fact, his work called al-Wajiz, which we are working on it, that was taught in Shafi'i Madrasahs for several centuries and became the main reference source for the later literature of the sect. In this study our purpose was to highlight al-Ghazali's fiqh aspect, which remains in the background today furthermore compared to his contribution to other sciences, additionally to determine the place of al-Wajiz in Shafi'i fiqh. As a result of our research, it has been determined that Ghazali had a fiqh work that will not be left in the background or distances. Therefore al-Ghazali wrote twenty jurisprudence works, although not all of them have survived. Among these works, al-Wajiz's most important contribution to the Shafi'i sect, which is shown between the five authoritative texts of the Shafi'i sect, systematized the serious intricate classification of previous works, freeing them from confusion and making it easy to understand. This work, which contains all the features of the concise tradition, should also be accepted as a comparative fiqh text, since it also includes the views of other sects on almost every issue. It has also been determined that al-Wajiz is the main reference source for the works accepted as authority in later copyrights. actually, as far as we can see within the framework of our sample area, Nawawi's work er-Ravda is a somewhat more detailed copy of al-Wajiz, both in terms of systematic and content. Although we have a perspective that Rafi's al-Muharrer is a stand-alone work and not an annotation of al- Wajiz, the style used for abbreviation while writing al-Menhaj by Nawawi clearly shows and feels the influence of al-Wajiz. This shows the important position of al-Wajiz in the Shafi'i sect.
