Abstract (EN)
: Pursit of Truth, Wisdom, Certain Knowledge, Logic, Faith. Gazzâlî's "pursuit of truth" is the most important factor in evaluation of his thought philosophically. Because, as a general view, the purpose of philosophy is the pursuit of truth. However, it is also admitted that a decline has started in Islamic philosophy after Gazzâlî. According to this view, philosophy has declined and mysticism has become a philosophy, after Gazzâlî. The reason for this can be observed in his critigue of philosophers. It is possible to think that his critigues had an effect on perception of philosophy as a negative science. But a different point of view is reguired in order to understand Gazzâlî's effect on mysticism's taking a philosophical character. Therefore, one should put forward how he grants function to wisdom, knowledge, logic, and faith in pursuit of truth. This will show his philosophical character in the base of bis thought system. The goal of this thesis is to explain how knowledge, logic, and faith is used as a tool of guestionnaire in Gazzâlî's pursuit of truth. The method followed in the research is historical method and critigue. The title of the thesis is "The Relationship of Knowledge, Logic and Faith with Gazzâlî's Pursuit of Truth". In the conclusion part of the research, it is expressed that Gazzâlî's pursuit of truth reflects a gradual and systematic process in the relationship of knowledge, logic, and faith. Beside faith, knowledge and logic are also used in the pursuit of truth. However, fields of knowledge, logic, and faith in the pursit of truth are as grades that are separete, but also that complete each other. Because knowledge of wisdom and inspiration is seen as elements that complete each other in Gazzâlî. Although a representation of truth that cannot be perceived with wisdom emerges at the end, this does not disturb the systematic flow in the pursuit of truth. The pursit of truth has been described in a certain and clear way. This is an Agnostic but a strong representation of truth. Because, basically, it involves a guestionnaire that is generally related with philosophy and specifically related with Epistemology. V
