Abstract (EN)

The present study was conducted to develop an effective drying up technologies by using scruber heat source for drying up citrus (orange, lemon, grepfurt) pulps and evaluate feding value of dried citrus pulps. For this purpose scruber heat source of a calcit production plant was equiped a drying up system which by provided an effective dried pulp production. The results obtained at the end of the experiment showed that water contents of pulps were reduced from 85% to 77-75% after mechanical pressing, then the pulp transfered to the vibro-fluidizer fluid bed dryer then rotary drum dryer. Following passing through the vibro-fluidizer fluid bed dryer, after 1, 2 and 3 hours processing in the rotary drum dryer water content of the pulp reduced to 35-37%, 13-25% and 8-10%, respectively. After the evaluation of physical and chemical charecteristics of the dried pulp, it was seen that citrus pulp could be re-cycled as an industrial feed in animal nutrition by drying with scrubber heat source known to be a source of emission.
