Abstract (EN)
Food-borne diseases are considered as an important public health problem that affect a large part of the society and cause significant economic losses and negative effects on the quality of life of individuals. There are limited studies covering foodborne illnesses in Turkey. This study aims to evaluate the food foodborne illnesses on people living in Hakkâri (n = 337) Konya (n = 860) and Muş (n = 629) provinces socio-demographically. The data were obtained through retrospective scanning through patient registration systems. The relationship between socio-demographic factors by gender and the age wıth foodborne ilnesses were compared for provinces. According to the case data obtained from the province of Konya, the relationship between foodborne ilnesses and the provinces is statistically significant (P<0.05). According to the data we have, Konya is the province with the highest number of foodborne illnesses. The relationship between the age and foodborne illnesses by provinces gave a significant response. (P<0.05). This study showed that the age group with the most foodborne illnesses was between the ages of 10-19 between 2010 and 2020.
