Relationship of traumatic birth perception with psychological well-being in pregnants

In this study, it was aimed to Decipher the relationship between psychological well-being and traumatic birth perceptions of pregnant women. The sample of the study consisted of 181 pregnant women who agreed to participate in the study according to the 95% confidence interval, 95% test power, f2= 0.212 effect size in the G power analysis December. The data of the research were collected with the Introduction and Evaluation Form, Traumatic Birth Perception Scale, Psychological Well-Being Scale. The data obtained from the research were statistically analyzed using IBM SPSS V23 licensed program. In the evaluation of the data, percentage and mean standard deviation and median (minimum – maximum), Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis test were used. In statistical analyses, the significance level was taken as p<0.05. In the study, the average Traumatic Birth Perception scale score (TDAÖ) of pregnant women was found to be 65.24±23.85. It was found that 37.6% of pregnant women had a moderate level and 34.8% had a low level of traumatic birth perception. The mean Psychological Well-Being Scale score of pregnant women was found to be 46.34±8.41. The relationship between the traumatic birth perception scale and psychological Decency scale scores of the pregnant women participating in the research was examined and there was no statistically significant relationship.
