Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of web-based infant care training given to mothers in the third trimester of pregnancy. The study was carried out in the Ministry of Health, Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Zonguldak province. Data were collected between March-April 2018. The study group consisted of 31 pregnant women and the control group consisted of 23 pregnant women. Informed Volunteer Consent Form uyar, tarafından Pregnancy Data Form, Pre-test Questions, Post-Test Questions and Muller developed Maternal Attachment Scale" which was adapted in 2009 by the Turkish population was applied to all pregnant women. In the experimental group, web-based infant-care education, which included three weeks of gestational pregnancies, different infant care subjects, and maternal attachment scale and posttest questions between 30 and 40 days after delivery were applied to pregnant women. In the pre-test comparison of mothers, the median value of the mothers in the experimental group was 18.0, and the median value of the mothers in the control group was 21.0. According to Mann Whitney U test, the difference between them was statistically significant (p = 0.048). The median value of the pregnant women in the experimental group was 36.0, and the median value of the mothers in the control group was 26.0. The difference between Mann Whitney U Test was statistically significant (p = 0.000). The median value of the experimental group was 99.0 while the median value of the control group was 94.0. The Mann-Whitney U test results showed that the difference between the attachment and control groups was statistically significant (Mann-Whitney U: 46.500, p <0.05). As a result of this study, it was determined that maternal attachment of the mothers in the experimental group was higher than the control group. It has been observed that web-based infant care training given to primiparous pregnancies is effective on maternal attachment, and it is recommended that nurses provide defining information on mothers' lack of maternal attachment to improve the effectiveness of infant care trainings, and to provide training and counseling services to mothers to use web-based training.
