The slums of urban transformation projects to overcome the case of Ankara Dikmen Valley Project

Urban transformation projects are interested issues in recent years. It seen as a solution of unplanned and unscheduled urbanization. With this thesis I explain the term of urban transformation and search the laws about urban transformation. With the study of Ankara Dikmen Valley Project I focus on slums and urban transformation.As a problem of slums generally seen in big cities like İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir and Bursa. Due to high land income in large cities, urban trasformation projects done easily and succesfully.To bring about social equilibrium, urban transformation projects must be done by public agencies. Some legal rights might be given people who live in slums.On the other hand public agencies must be careful to not give unfair high income to squatters.
