Approach to enviromental issues within the framework of the Environmental Kuznets Curve in the transition economies: Selected country application

Environmental issues are among the world?s most important issues. In particular, starting with the industrial revolution and the rapidly growing environmental problems began to exceed the carrying capacity of nature, national and global level have led to negative consequences.In this study, the concept of the environment , environmental issues, environmental problems , causes, types, and investigated the relationship between environment and economy. Underlying feature is the root of all environmental problems, the environment is failing in terms of market transactions. Therefore, study of environmental pollution caused by externalities and the types of solutions are examined and measures to be taken as providing for compensation of environmental externalities.Environmental Kuznets Curve for the application of the study at the selected transition economies examined the validity of the Approach. The relationship between income and environmental pollution is examined using panel data estimation method.The panel data model, which is made of carbon dioxide (CO2) measurements are used in 15 countries between the years 1992- 2007. The panel data model was found to be associated with estimated revenue as a result of carbon dioxide emissions. The basic finding of this study, this research supports the hypothesis that selected transition economies, the Environmental Kuznets Curve.Key Words: Environment, Environmental Problems, Externality, Transition Economies, Enviromental Kuznets Curve
