Özet (EN)
ABSTRACT In the vertical alignment geometry, curved part is defined vertical curve. We use vertical curbs for increasing alignment comfort and making reliable. On the profile, these curves seem very well and curves useful to connect two tangent grades at the vertical point of intersection. Today, new curves began to use at the vertical curve design. These modern curves purposes that bring the road comfort best level as movement dynamic. Some of these new vertical curves are designed compound. Compound curves can be with 2-3 part and transition curve. Transition curves that already used in horizontal geometry are being used in vertical geometry newly. Jerk (rate of change of acceleration) is a criterion of alignment geometry comfort. To compare, two test route planned like highways and railways. Jerk graphics has issued as these test routes. Graphics and jerk formulas are provided to compare the curves. Keywords: Jerk (rate of change of acceleration), Vertical curve, Vehicle dynamic
