Özet (EN)

The most crucial factor for the occurrence of the weaving is the need for clothing, which has a substantial place for the human being's innate behavior, because of the need for protection against different weather conditions and other kinds of harms. First human being had met their need of clothing by taking advantage of animal leather. With the changes of the climate to more temperate and smooth weather in the Neolithic period, human being had possibly started a search for different clothing raw materials, to produce more fine clothes. Due to this human being had noticed different raw materials, such as linen, wool and cotton, which can be used in weaving and textile, and started to produce clothes or other products which could be used for clothing. It is aimed to present that spindle whorls and bone tools which are related with weaving and found in Gedikkaya Cave Late Neolithic Period 2A (BC 6250 – 5830) and Early Chalcolithic Period's late times (BC 5316 – 5212) IB layer are examined, and it is evaluated that the usage domains and production domains of this tools, and the relation of these tools which are found and the cortices they are located in tried to be understood in a cave settlement that witnessed temporary settlement, how cave dwellers met their need for basic clothing and automatically also how cave dwellers had ensured textile production.
