Abstract (EN)

Tradition is a concept as old as human history. Therefore, tradition is in a close relationship with the identity and identities. This is normal depending on the course of the development. In the historical processes, identities are shaped by institutions of traditions. In this process, culture is created with tradition and identity.Culture, is defined as anything produced in all in human life. Therefore, the relationship between culture and tradition is strong. Because the customs often are shaped by cultural context. However, this situation will change after the start of the modern era. During this period, culture, begins to take shape according to modern thinking. Modern thought, he must create a new cultural model, because it is disconnected from the world of tradition.Modern ideas, creating new cultural model is based on the maximum force of reason and science. Therefore, modernization is accepted by humanity as enlightenment. Modern way of life dominated era, the city and city life are forms. Urban life and modern needs of the common culture and identity forms. This type of culture and identity, with all the features, is different from world of tradition.In the world of tradition, against a very colorful and the difference is pretty common control. However, speculations of the modern tradition in his life, does not have such a pretty common. Modern thought, rather, try to create unique identities and communities are homogeneous. Be constructed to implement these structures, is essential for nation-states. 21. Century, therefore, is a century of nation-states. The nation-state which is device of the modern tradition, common language, religion, identity and culture of the state are trying to create. They shall follow when performing their own unique way.Nation-states, creating new types of identity and culture are best used in the past. Use of this tradition, but with use, is different. That these differences are differences that must be especially emphasized. Our work here lays the main character. In our study the differences between traditional and modern, has been tried to solve by this approach.Identification of the position, according to tradition and modern, is discussed separately. In era of traditional events and beliefs that affect identity with in the modern era events and beliefs that affect identity, are compared. Thus, the formation of identity on the course were revealed. This course, at the same time, the relationship of tradition to reveal the identity has a course.Tradition and identity relationship work, therefore, are eligible to progress chronologically.Key words: Tradition, Identity, Culture, Nationalism, nation-states
