Restoration proposal of Turkan Olgunsoy residence in the extent of protection of the Gerze traditional architecture

This thesis examines one of the unique example of traditional Gerze Houses, namely, Turkan OLGUNSOY residence. The aim of this study is to analyse the current situation of the building as well as to develop suggestions about the restoration and conservation. The thesis sets a basis for gathering information in comprasion between the other traditional residential architecture and Turkan OLGUNSOY House. Besides, the study will contribute to revise the existing inventory work and serve as a base for further studies. At the end of the study, by means of analysis and projects, the restoration project of the house would have been obtained and it will be documented academically. The realization of the restoration project will lead, the building to be transferred to the next generations.Key Words:Traditional house, Gerze, Black Region, Restoration, Conservation
