Abstract (EN)

Traditional houses have contributed to cultural production by witnessing history with its cultural accumulation throughout the centuries. Some of cultural elements that are underlied of Anatolian architecture have started to disappear with transition of modern architecture. Malatya houses that are analysed from the aspect of human, society and culture have been fighting for its' life because of rapidly changing cultural environment, population increase, unplanned urbanization and consumption culture while it has protected its own unique civil architecture. This study has been made with the intention of be transformed to a pictorial idea of these objects by highlighting the life experience that is still observed in Traditional Anatolian architecture, nostalgia and the objects comes into society's life with technology. Considering the works of artists who use to architecture in their works, it is seen that the changing in architecture have reflected in these works. Turkish and West artists, who are resource, researched and it is given information with examples about its techniques. It is given importance the relationship of the beauty of traditional houses in oil paintings that are researched and its shape-content and when works were made, explained the composition that was fictionalised, colour that was used, tissue that was formed. The work is formed from four parts. In first part, it is given information about the history of Malatya, its geography and its human status. In second part, it is touched on building materials that were used by giving general characteristics of traditional Anatolian houses and traditional Malatya houses. In third part the changing of the houses is treated from the positivist philosophy, alienation, consumption culture. Alienation and consumption culture within the frame of aesthetic values, the composition features in process of generating a from concrete to abstract exposition and the analysis of implementations that were formed with a plastic attitude were performed.
