Özet (EN)

Architecture produces lasting cultural values. Cultural heritage is the most important evidence of human existence. Human beings have produced spaces by transforming the natural environment into a built environment to provide the need for shelter. This situation is differentiated, developed and reached to the present within the historical process. Mankind has been trying to change the natural environment and ecological values in order to produce architectural spaces. Besides, it is seen that the natural environment tries to provide the vital values where it presents to the architectural spaces it produces. Human beings have settled 10,000 years ago and entered a vital system based on agriculture. The intervention of man to the natural environment appears in the past only as a result of destruction of forest areas for agricultural purposes. However, due to the increasing production of architectural spaces, the damage to the environment has increased. In this context, the concept of sustainable architectural space production is gaining importance today. It is possible to say that the parameters required for sustainable space production also exist in the traditional and can contribute to today's architectural space production. Bursa has natural resources and important trade axes from past to present. For this reason, it is the focus of the study because it houses many traditional architectural works worthy of historical, cultural, artistic and sustainability. In this study, sustainable space production will be examined through Bursa samples.
