Examination of the process of design and manufacture of bridal dress and presentation of sample collection

ABSTRACT Wedding dress production process is open for development due to production with current methods and detailed process and at the end high quality and valuable product is obtained. Industrialization of the production is getting harder due to tailor-made features of the product and difficulties in its standardization. On the other hand, customers direct the sector by preferring tailor-made feature of the product, not its price. A study carried out with customers that preferred purchasing wedding dress from internet revealed that customers prefer to involve in the design processes. For this reason, it is expected that the studies to be made for increasing the production efficiency of this product must provide solutions that do not lose their feature of fulfilling the variable demands and expectations of the customers. Turkey is the greatest wedding dress producer of Europe. Europe prefers Turkish wedding dress as quality product. Reasons for preferring Turkey are geographic proximity to Europe, high quality in production process, affordable prices. In recent years, products are designed in world class, special for every continent, suitable for culture and demand of every country; therefore they are preferred in Middle East, Russia and America as well as Europe. Companies with a design team follow international fairs and make designs by taking into consideration the world fashion and current trends.
