The effects of developing technology and fashion trends on today's denim fashion

The biggest problem humanity facing today is that the future of the planet we live on is in danger. Increasing production as a result of industrialization and consequently irresponsible consumption habits of human society cause the fast reduction of natural resources. This model of production and consumption, causes large amounts of waste to be released into the environment, causing irreversible damage to the planet. In addition, population growth and related socioeconomic problems pose a major threat to the future of our planet. As in all areas of industrialization, the damage caused by denim apparel to the environment cannot be ignored. In the study titled "The Effects of Developing Technology and Fashion Trends on Today's Denim Fashion", fabrics and washing techniques developed in accordance with sustainable technologies were examined. Basing on those fabrics and washes; a design application has been applied in accordance with A / W 20/21 women's clothing trends, which can be worn by putting the parts on and off without sticking to any season and providing longer life. Applied denim designs; aims to create group of garments where elements such as form, washing ground colour, effect, material are used together, and it is also a means of raising awareness. The concept of washing, which is one of the basic elements of denim design, is in direct relation with the sustainable techniques and fabric choices applied. Fabrics containing fibres produced by completely sustainable methods were used as the main material; the wool yarns obtained from the used and dismantled sweaters was re-knitted and manipulated to some of the styles and thus the collection gained a dimension of recycling. The purpose of the collection application process is to increase the environmental awareness of garment production and to shed light on how denim products can be produced in the future and affect designers. It is hoped that the use of waste materials with technological products and techniques will reduce the pollution caused by the production processes to a certain extent, will point to the emergence of new ideas for recycling, and a will create an awareness of the society, the individual and the environment.
