Abstract (EN)

Today, the automotive sector is undergoing a radical transformation under the influence of digitalization and automation. One of the most important components of this transformation, the Internet of Things (IOT), is effectively used in many areas from production processes to vehicle design, from quality control to maintenance processes. In this thesis, the integration of Internet of Things (IOT) technologies into automotive production processes is examined; comprehensive evaluations are made on sample applications such as assembling metal parts, laser welding applications and supporting the tests carried out for these processes with image processing techniques. The main purpose of the study is to reveal the contributions of IoT-supported systems to production processes within the framework of efficiency, quality and sustainability. The thesis also discusses the place of these applications within the concept of Industry 4.0, the opportunities they offer for the future of the automotive industry and the technical and structural conveniences encountered. This study, which is conducted using literature review, case studies and current industrial examples, aims to increase the awareness of IOT applications in automotive production.
