The relationship between women's education development and growth in developing countries

Education is the learning process to improvement as an economical and as a social growth to need by nations. There is closely relationship between education and development.Along with in general acceptance that education increase to economic development and social wealfare, practice of this topic has been raised and more specific field has been investigated. As a result of investigations, education indications do not become scatter equaly between women and men and show diversity with respect to growth level of countries, age and income of groups. Despite the fact that positive contribution of women?s education to the growth and society has been known, education of women in many nations, particularly in developing countries, needs to attract more attention. However, the impact of education on economic growth was the subject of many empirical studies and in almost empirical studies, education has been found to contribute to growth significantly. Also the net return of education and training on women are much more there of men. Equality of gender in education process affects economic development positively. These findings provide the economical reason for the need for increasing the education level of women.The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between women?s education and growth, and this paper analyses the economic dimension of women?s education and examines its possible contributions to developing countries. There is negative relationship between women?s education, women employment and growth in Turkey. In developing countries there is positive relationship between women?s education and growth, but negative relationship between women economic participation and growth.Key Words: Education, Growth, Women?s Education, Education and Development
