Abstract (EN)
Recently, globalization is the most common discussion topic in this century. In fact, main discussion of this topic is to find out advantages and disadvantages of globalization, not actually globalization itself. Globalization has different effects over developed and developing countries. Thus, the purpose of this study is to analyze how the level of developing countries? development progress is affected by this stage. In the first chapter, the concept of globalization, literature in globalization and global wave in the world are discussed. In the second chapter, the effects of globalization progress over the social structures on developing countries? are discussed. Final chapter introduces the main effects which come from globalization progress on unemployment, economic growth, foreign trade, and income distribution. Therefore, the question of what determines human development index is tried to be answered by using panel data regression model. This dissertation has concluded that globalization progress has a positive effect on the level of life standard which is used as a human development index here.
