Özet (EN)
First studies about the ship collisions have begun to be gained in the literature since 1959. Whilst, in the beginning, collision analysis problems solved by means of the empirical solutions which are created by experimental studies and ship collisions, real collision data and experimental studies that occurred come until today have provided the generation of new methods and the development of conventional methods. With the improvements in computer software and programming techniques, the numerical methods which produce more reliable and problem-specific results gained popularity and replaced with the analytical solutions. To realize the environmental and life-threatening risks, the necessity for analysis of ship collisions is increasing day to day. In this regard, developments of new methods are encouraged by public and private sector. Especially, with the help of coastal region countries, two major European Union Projects initiated and finalized. On the other hand, it has been done separate section on the grounding and ship collisions in the ISSC congress that organized until 50 years. In MSc thesis, collisions of two ship models which are prepared with respect to standards are analyzed with finite elements method. 3D CAD modelling process of ships are sketched by using SolidWorks 2009. Pre-Post and creating of finite element network utilized from HyperMesh software. Description of the material model and boundary conditions are given to the model and eventually, finite element analyses are performed by LS-Dyna commercial software. The verification and researching reliability of the results utilized from analytical methods. The results of analysis obtained by numerical methods are consistent with the results obtained by the analytical approach.
