Abstract (EN)
Main purpose of this study is to measure relationship between stress level and job satisfaction of seafarers who work on ships in maritime sector. Taking precedence; conceptual principals regarding with stress are reviewed in the first part and conceptual principals regarding with job satisfaction are reviewed in the second part of the study Then after maritime, maritime sector and legal dimensions of maritime sector are analyzed in the third part. The last and the fourth part of the study includes research that named ?the relationships between stress and job satisfaction of seafarers who work in a maritime company?. The questionnaires which were prepared to measure stress level and job satisfaction of seafarers are applied to 156 seafarers who work in eight ships which belong same company. It was resulted that 127 of them is worth to be evaluated. The job conditions of seafarers show explicit differences from the job conditions of shore staff. Hence stress and job satisfaction factors of seafarers are also different. In this study; stress level of seafarers and stress factors are tried to clarify with demographic features. On the other hand, job satisfaction level of seafarers and job satisfaction factors are also tried to review with demographic features and negatif relationship is established between stress level and job satisfaction at the end of the study.
