Abstract (EN)
Hydrogeochemical properties help us to identify water type, discharge and recharge boundary, water-rock interactions. This study covers the investigation of chemical properties and some pollution parameters of groundwater from selected research areas in Gemici village (Baskil). The pH, temperature and electrical conductivity parameters of the groundwater samples collected from wells were calculated on site, and their cation and anion analyses have been carried out in the laboratory. By using graphical methods, the results are interpreted in comparison to standards and regulations. After the water chemistry data from the research area are evaluated by drawing, Piper, Schoeller, Wilcox and US Salinity Laboratory diagrams, it is determined that the dominant hydrochemical structure on some groundwaters are not changed by seasonal effects , while some others are changed. The hydrogeologic formations in the area are identified by hydrogeologic investigations. By comparing the geology of the area and the mineral saturation levels of groundwater, the lithologial features the aquifer, are determined.Although the results of this study are not sufficient enough to determine whether the water samples can be used as drinking water or not; the results are also evaluated against drinking water standards to give a general idea.In the studied are head waters temperatures and elecrical conductivity are range from 14,70 ºC to 21,1 ºC and from 371,8 ?S/cm to 2144 ?S/cm. The abundant ions in waters are Ca+2 and HCO3-.In the studied area waters, the NH4, NO2 concentrations were examined periodically and increased concentrations were determined. According to NO3 values in waters, pollutants from the surface was determined by the pollutant.
