Abstract (EN)
Considering the energy economy implementations on ships, the first issue to notice is the exhaust gases which comprise nearly 25% of energy loss. Thus, recycling methods out of exhaust gas have more and more importance. Contemplating the expenses of the ships, fuel is of large amount expenditure. When the waste heat recovery from methods exhaust gas are applied, not only fuel save will be ensured but also there will be a decrease in the amount of CO2, NOx and SOx emissions that are released to the environment per unit fuel. In this study, emissions released out of ships to the environment and regulations about the emissions and overloading, Power Turbine Generator (PTG), Steam Turbine Generator (STG) and Combine Waste Heat Recovery (ST+PT) methods that are utilized in the ships, are examined technically and economically. Besides, Organic Rankine Cycle Systems, which are applied to the land-based systems, potential to be implemented to the ships. External conditions and motor load are examined which have impact on the potential while analyzing this exhaust gas potential. Which technical and economical approach is suitable has been investigated for recycling by using low, medium and high power three two-stroke engines.
