Analysis of cost efective on selection of ship's main drive sytsems

Ships are make the main basic functions and the ability by the drive and propulsion system. Because of this,dedication and design of drive and propulsion systema are very important. The most important part of propulsion system is main engine. Propulsion system generally consisting of main engine, generators, reduction gear, thruster, shaft and propeller. Currently, there is some of drive and populsion system for ships. It should be hard work engineering on deciding that which system is suitable for a ship. Because of drive and propulsions system are the most expensive cost in a ship's life cycle cost, it might be dedicated that which system's cost what would be. In this study, generally, main drive systems and it's cost be invastigated. Main drive systems are compared with each other for it's cost. Consequently, the cost impact can not be ignored in the choice of propulsion system for ships, in addition to the selection criteria it has been seen that there are other parameters.
