Abstract (EN)
This study aims to investigate the relationships between the variables of selfcompassion, gratitude, and forgiveness and romantic relationship satisfaction among young adults. It also examines whether the relationships between romantic relationship satisfaction and self-compassion, gratitude, and forgiveness differ depending on demographic factors such as gender, age, education level, relationship type, and relationship duration. This study was conducted using the relational screening model. 333 young adult individuals between the ages of 20-40 participated in the study. 198 of the participants were female (59.5%) and 135 were male (40.5%). Data were collected using the Personal Information Form, Relationship Satisfaction Scale, Self-Compassion Scale, Emmons Gratitude Scale and Forgiveness Scale. The data obtained were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 27 software. In the analysis process, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis, Independent Samples t Test, One-Way Analysis of Variance for Independent Samples, Simple Linear Regression Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis techniques were applied. The findings of the study revealed that there were positive significant relationships between romantic relationship satisfaction and self-compassion, gratitude, and forgiveness. In addition, positive significant relationships were found between selfcompassion and gratitude, self-compassion and forgiveness, and gratitude and forgiveness. It was found that self-compassion, gratitude, and forgiveness variables significantly predicted young adults' romantic relationship satisfaction. In addition, it was determined that romantic relationship satisfaction, self-compassion, gratitude, and forgiveness scores varied depending on some demographic factors.
