Abstract (EN)

Aim: In this study, it was aimed to examine the social skill levels of individuals who participated in the activities of youth centers in Malatya province according to demographic variables. Materials and Methods: For the research sample, when the appearance frequency (p) of the social skill levels of the individuals participating in youth centers is 50% and the frequency of absence (q-1) is 0.5, the t value of the error level is 1.95 and the tolerable error (d) is 0.05, the sample size is 22,342 as of December 2018. It was calculated that the minimum sample group from the universe would consist of 379 participants, and 381 volunteer participants who participated in recreational activities in youth centers formed the population. A scale form was used to collect data in the study. SPSS program was used to analyze the data. In data analysis; "T Test" and "ANOVA", which are parametric tests, were used to determine the meaningful differences of social skills score averages from frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation analysis. p <0.05 significance level was taken into account. Results: According to the research findings, there was a significant difference between the social skill scores of the participants and the variables of gender, mother education, father education, mother's profession, father's occupation, family income, active sports and age, and there was no significant difference between educational status and social skill level. Conclusion: As a result of the research, there is no significant difference between the social skill levels of individuals participating in recreational activities in the youth centers of Malatya province in terms of education variable, and there is a significant difference in terms of gender, age, mother's education level, father's education level, mother's occupation, father's occupation, family income level, active sports activities.
