Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction of the personnel of the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. 316 personnel (101 female, 215 male) working in different Provincial Directorates of Youth and Sports participated in the research voluntarily. Personal information form prepared by the recearch voluntarily. Personal information form prepared by the researcher, Emotional Intelligence Trait-Short Form and Jon Satisfaction scale were used as data collection tools. SPSS statistical program was used in the analysis of the data. When the findings of the study were examined, it was observed that there was a statistically significant difference in the level of emotional intelligence in the variables of gender, marital status, doing sports, profession, and staff (p<0.05). According to the job satisfaction scale, there was a statistically significant difference in marital status and occupation variables (p<0.05). In the sub-dimension of well-being, women were found to have higher emotional intelligence levels than men. In the emotionality sub-dimension, it was determined that single personnel experienced higher emotionality than married personnel. According to the variable of doing sports, well-being, self-control, sociability and emotional intelligence were found to have higher emotional intelligence levels than those who do not do sports in general average. According to the profession variable, it was determined that the coaches in the sub-dimensions of self-control and sociability, and the sports experts in the general average of emotional intelligence had higher emotional intelligence levels. According to the staff variabla, it was determined that the contracted personnel had a higher level of emotional intelligence in well-being than the other groups. According to the job satisfaction scale, it was determined that married emoployees have a higher job satisfaction level than single employess, and as the level of emotionaş intelligence increases, the level of job satisfaction also increases. According to the results of the research, it can be said that emotional intelligence is important in the level of job satisfaction of the personnel and that improving the emotional intelligence level of the personnel can increase both work and scoal life performance, and provide a more productive work environment within the group dynamics.
