Abstract (EN)

Unveiling the portrayal of women in the world of business, this qualitative analysis study scrutinizes the pervasive impact of gender stereotypes based on individual experiences. Over a 22-year period, a comprehensive collection of 147 news articles, specifically chosen to align with the study's objectives, forms the basis of research. Deliberately selected keywords such as "gender," "harassment," "inequality" and "violence" revealed intriguing patterns, establishing a compelling connection between these terms and the concept of women. This intricate web of associations underscores the profound link between gender stereotypes and the media's representation of women. Beyond the professional sphere, the study uncovers the insidious influence of gender stereotypes on women even before they embark on their careers. These preconceived biases chart the course of women's lives from the very outset. Moreover, the research findings highlight the escalating prominence of gender inequality in public discourse, reflecting an expanding awareness of the challenges women encounter as a result of gender stereotypes. As the dialogue on this issue gains momentum, a transformation in societal perceptions and norms could be on the horizon. In summary, this study offers an enlightening exploration of how the media depicts women in the business realm and the far- reaching consequences of deeply ingrained gender stereotypes.
