Neologism in the use of Internet language

Basic dynamic in the maintenance of the presence of language is that it has a structure which adapts itself to all kinds of changes. It's the result of dynamic structure of language that it leaves, changes and converts the old versions against political, economic, cultural, scientific, social and technological developments and fulfills the needs of its speakers through new compositions. Changes arising out of the era of speedlead our people today to express themselves and need new opportunities of expression in order to utilize technology compulsorily.While the perception of fast consumption leads to a production and consumption oriented impact on the elements of language, a new language composition also emerges as differing from common language. These newly-coined expressions have been produced in accordance with the opportunities of language or composed by utilizing the creativity of language. This study has been examined under three basic headings. Introduction part is the section where theoretical information regarding the neologism is available and approaches against the neologism are evaluated.In this part, there are information regarding the relationship dimensions of lexicology and sociolinguisticswith the neologisms. Secondary part of the study includes internet and the language of internet. Historical development and characteristics of internet in Turkey as well as general and theoretical information regarding internet is also availablein this part. Third part of the study is the main part where determinations and evaluations are available. This part has been evaluated in terms of linguistic elements and elements which compose vocabulary and classified based on terms and expressions have been classified based on composition types of the neologisms. In the study, neologisms which are used in the language of internet have been determined and classifiedin terms of structure firstly and then relation of meaning. In this classification, meanings of the neologisms which are determined in accordance with their contexts in language use have been taken as a basis. Emergence processes of the neologisms in parallel with social developments and their reasons have been evaluated through a sociolinguistic approach. This study aims at determining the neologisms used in the language of internet and making a language solution in accordance with the needs of this use.Aspects of internet language which differ from common language have be handled and analyzed in terms of language pollution, needs and language tendencies. This study aims at considering the development of language as a whole within a specific paradigm.
