Abstract (EN)

The advancement of science and the development of technology at an unprecedented pace allow humanity to make in-depth researches and studies in various fields. With the techniques and methods used within these opportunities, living creatures with very different structures can emerge from their creation by interfering with their DNA in their cells, which are the smallest structures of living things. Because these products are used as raw material in foods and beverages consumed daily by most of the people. Especially the application of these techniques on agricultural products, which constitute the staple foods, involves the point of interest in the society. Muslims, who must organize every aspects of their live in the direction of the orders of Allah, have to carry out their works in a controlled manner within the limits drawn by Allah. In order to conform to these limits, the subject must be clarified scientifically. Therefore, the researches of scientists who are working in the field of biotechnology are highly significant. In this study, changing the genetic structure of agricultural products has been examined scientifically and it has been given how and for what purposes. These products have been handled primarily in Islamic Law, in terms of intervention in the creation, and then their legitimacy have been evaluated.
